An iron fallout remover dissolves bonded metallic particles that a regular wash cannot shift. We follow up with a full chemical decontamination rinse to strip wax, sealants, and road film from the surface.

A clay bar is worked across every panel to pull out embedded contaminants and leave the paint surface completely smooth. You will feel the difference when you run your hand over it.

Panel Wipe and IPA Prep

Every panel is wiped down with an isopropyl alcohol solution to remove all polish oils and residues. The surface needs to be completely clean for the ceramic to bond correctly. This step is not optional.

The ceramic coating is applied panel by panel in controlled sections, levelled off, and left to flash. Once all panels are done, the vehicle sits in a covered area to begin the initial cure. You should keep it dry for 24 hours and out of heavy rain for 5-7 days.

Depending on the tier you choose, ceramic coatings applied by Magpie Detailing last between 2 and 7 years. Longevity depends on the number of layers applied, how the car is maintained, and where it is parked. Cars kept in a garage and washed correctly will see the coating last longer.
Most ceramic coating jobs take between 4 and 8 hours on the day, depending on the tier and the condition of the paint. Paint correction adds time. You should also plan for a 24-hour cure period where the car needs to stay dry before it can be driven normally.
Wax lasts weeks. A paint sealant lasts a few months. A ceramic coating bonds to your clear coat and lasts years. It is harder, more hydrophobic, and far more resistant to UV, chemicals, and light abrasion. If you want genuine long-term paint protection and a better resale result, ceramic coating is the better investment.
Use a pH-neutral car wash shampoo and a clean microfibre mitt for regular washes. Avoid automated car washes with spinning brushes as they will scratch the surface over time.
